Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Profiles

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Profile team, you will build systems and applications across the stack, enabling players, creators, influencers, and brands to create compelling identities on Roblox. Your work will power the Roblox ecosystem, helping users recognize and connect with friends and interests, express themselves, and discover and engage with the best of Roblox through their connections. You will own critical features used by millions daily and develop new zero-to-one features, driving company-level objectives for user engagement.

Responsibilities

• Ship features and work across the stack with an end-to-end understanding of our features, focusing on frontend development.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to define and build platform features that enable users to express their identities.
• Drive individual projects from end to end, ensuring they are well-planned, executed efficiently, and deliver meaningful impact through experiments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building full-stack systems, including backend, APIs, and frontend applications.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with A/B testing (Bonus).

Pay

For roles based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA, the starting base pay for this position is $243,290—$295,250 USD. The actual base pay is dependent upon job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and benefits.

Schedule

Roles based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
