Senior Front Suspension Design Engineer

Domain Specific Skills
- Experience with front suspension architecture and concept development
- Ability to develop and assess interfaces between chassis, steering, driveline, and structure
- Knowledge of torque steer, durability, ground clearance, and serviceability impacts
- Experience comparing carryover, modified, and new design solutions
Responsibilities
- Define component and system engineering requirements
- Create and develop engineering designs and concepts
- Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies
- Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases
- Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, Sourcing and validation activities
- Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
- Manage engineering changes and documentation
Requirements
- 5+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience within relevant domain
- 2+ years CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience or V5)
- GD&T and tolerance analysis
- DFMA principles
- Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving
