Senior Chassis & Front Suspension Design Engineer

Domain Specific Skills

• Experience with front suspension architecture and concept development
• Ability to develop and assess interfaces between chassis, steering, driveline, and structure
• Knowledge of torque steer, durability, ground clearance, and serviceability impacts
• Experience comparing carryover, modified, and new design solutions

Responsibilities

• Define component and system engineering requirements
• Create and develop engineering designs and concepts
• Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases
• Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, Sourcing and validation activities
• Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
• Manage engineering changes and documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience within relevant domain
• 2+ years of CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience or V5)
• GD&T and tolerance analysis
• DFMA principles
• Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving
