Senior FPGA Development Engineer, Bespoke Solutions
About the role
AWS seeks a Senior FPGA Development Engineer with experience developing programmable logic on the most advanced FPGAs. They will help architect, develop, and integrate scalable FPGA systems in the AWS technology ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop custom RTL and integrate with third party libraries to build end to end 100G+ solutions.
- Collaborate with design and system engineers to perform tradeoffs and architect new solutions for customers.
- Own the interface between software and hardware by developing drivers, and providing software examples.
- Lead in design meetings to plan development and review peer designs.
- Help identify new opportunities and new technologies to improve the customer experience and add features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 7+ years of non-internship professional RTL development experience.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of full RTL development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Experience developing programmable logic for FPGAs in VHDL or Verilog.
- Experience with Xilinx Ultrascale+ FPGAs, Versal ACAPs, and/or Intel Agilex SOCs.
- Experience developing programmable logic for 100G Networking Systems.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
