We are seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our growing government contracting organization. This highly visible role will support multiple business units and programs, providing financial leadership through budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting and long-range planning efforts across multiple business units.
- Develop and maintain monthly forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities to financial performance.
- Analyze operating results, program profitability, labor utilization, and key business metrics.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Partner with business leaders and program managers to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage and support EVM reporting requirements across government contracts.
- Prepare, review, and analyze EACs, ensuring program cost and revenue forecasts are accurate and actionable.
- Perform variance analysis and communicate key drivers affecting business performance.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Support month-end close activities and special projects as needed.
- Drive reporting enhancements and process improvements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or government contracting finance experience.
- Experience supporting multiple business units, departments, or programs.
- Strong background in:
- Budgeting and annual planning
- Forecasting and financial modeling
- Variance analysis
- Executive reporting
- Business performance analysis
- Hands-on experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience developing and maintaining Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
- Understanding of government contract types, including Cost Plus, T&M, and Fixed Price.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to partner effectively with both finance and operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Cobra, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or similar financial systems.
- Experience supporting DoD, aerospace, defense, engineering, or technology programs.
- CPA, MBA, CFA, or related professional certification.
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government contracting compliance requirements.

$115-135k DOE.
