Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, customer solutions, and analytics, helping deploy and extend a cloud-native brain data platform used to accelerate clinical research and precision medicine.

Responsibilities

• Work with modern data technologies including SQL, Python, APIs, Snowflake, and BI platforms to build integrations, analytical solutions, and customer-facing tools that unlock insights from one of the world's largest EEG datasets.
• Partner directly with external engineering teams, researchers, and healthcare organizations to design integrations, build proof-of-concepts, and shape how customers leverage the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing data platform or data engineering solutions
• 3+ years in a customer-facing engineering or technical consulting role
• Strong SQL skills with experience designing analytical and operational data models
• Proficiency in Python, Julia, R, or another data-focused programming language
• Experience designing and supporting REST, GraphQL, or similar APIs
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data integration patterns
• Experience working with analytics platforms such as Snowflake, Looker, Superset, or similar tools
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, and delivering customer-facing technical implementations
• Experience working with healthcare, life sciences, or clinical research data
• Experience building proof-of-concepts and production-ready customer solutions
• Familiarity with cloud-native data platforms and distributed systems
• Experience developing dashboards and analytical workflows
• Experience improving API design, documentation, and developer experience
• Background working in startup or high-growth technology environments
