About the role
The Senior Forensic Audit Manager (SFAM) implements forensic audit plans within the assigned geographic region and manages Forensic Auditors and Forensic Audit Managers. Forensic audits are conducted on public entities that have committed fraud with taxpayer dollars.
- Obtain an understanding of client internal controls and financial procedures
- Implement the AOS approach for performing forensic audits
- Execute fraud detection techniques
- Prepare audit summaries, comments, and findings
Location: Northeast Region of Ohio. Case assignments will primarily be in the following counties: Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Summit, Portage, Geauga, Lake, Ashtabula, and Trumbull.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Three or more years of experience in an external audit environment
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
Qualifications
- Experience with governmental financial accounting, reporting, and auditing is desirable
- Experience in fraud examination is a plus
- Professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is a plus
