Senior Float Pharmacy Technician
About the role
Genoa Healthcare is a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group’s family of businesses. We partner with community-based providers to ensure people with complex health conditions receive the right medications and follow their treatment plans. As a Senior Float Pharmacy Technician, you will support dispensing operations and clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, covering multiple clinic locations across Phoenix.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinics
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for pharmacist verification
- Order, receive, and store pharmacy supplies and wholesaler medication orders
- Verify medication stock and maintain accurate inventory records in the computer system
- Assist the pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
- Perform clerical duties related to pharmacy operations
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Other duties as assigned
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm, with a 30–60 minute lunch. This role requires travel to cover PTO and callouts across all 30 Phoenix locations. Home site is 10217 N Metro Pkwy W, Phoenix, AZ.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona
- 1+ years of pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
- Ability to cover all sites across all 30 Phoenix locations
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Additional pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
Pay
The hourly pay for this role ranges from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment, subject to applicable minimum wage laws and factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
