Senior Fixed Income Java Developer

About the role

This is a "Right-to-Hire" opportunity beginning as a consulting position with potential for conversion to a permanent role within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Design and code the next generation of the fixed income trading platform
• Work with a team of gifted engineers focused on implementing the best ideas, practices, and technology
• Have strong knowledge of fixed income securities, trading or operational processing
• Experience in Java/J2EE enterprise application development, including Core Java, JavaScript, GWT or other web client frameworks, J2EE, Oracle PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and JDBC
• Skilled in physical and logical data modeling techniques for optimal performance and data analysis using SQL
• Familiar with financial reporting on asset allocation, equities, bond holdings, portfolio performance, fixed income, and risk analysis
• Lead the team and serve as an expert technical resource
• Work as the liaison between business and technology

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE enterprise application development
• Minimum of 4 years experience in the Fixed Income Industry
• Strong knowledge of fixed income securities, trading or operational processing
• Experience in Core Java, JavaScript, GWT or other web client frameworks, J2EE, Oracle PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and JDBC
• Skilled in physical and logical data modeling techniques for optimal performance and data analysis using SQL
• Familiar with financial reporting on asset allocation, equities, bond holdings, portfolio performance, fixed income, and risk analysis
• Hands-on tech leader with experience leading teams and serving as an expert technical resource
• Experience working as the liaison between business and technology
