About the role
The Senior Fitness Community Manager plays a critical role in managing and growing the quality and consistency of the Live 2 B Healthy fitness program across all partner communities in the West Denver Metro area (Lakewood, Littleton, and surrounding areas). This position is responsible for serving as a subject-matter expert for Live 2 B Healthy classes, onboarding a team of fitness trainers, managing class schedules and delivery, preparing to cover scheduled classes when trainers are unavailable, and building trusted relationships with senior community leaders to ensure long-term partnerships and identify growth opportunities. The projected workload is around 20 hours per week and should not require time at night or on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage the master class schedule across all client locations; assign trainers and arrange qualified substitutes to prevent disruptions.
- Ensure all trainers are properly certified and compliant with Live 2 B Healthy standards through regular site visits, class observations, and ongoing feedback.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new trainers; coordinate initial training to prepare them to lead classes independently.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communities regarding class times, schedule changes, and trainer assignments; communicate promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and support trainer performance, identify areas for improvement, and facilitate continuing education opportunities to maintain program consistency.
- Serve as a backup instructor and fill in for classes when needed to maintain continuity of service.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at partner communities to ensure client satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities.
- Monitor program success metrics and satisfaction at active locations; coordinate with trainers and community contacts to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- Experience in fitness instruction, personal training, or group exercise management.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Confidence in managing multiple trainers and community relationships.
- Current nationally recognized fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or equivalent).
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Active insurance.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for supporting sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in senior fitness or working with older adults inside senior living communities.
- Experience in relationship development and management—preferably in senior living, healthcare, wellness, or fitness.
- Experience with Mindbody platform, especially managing class schedules.
- Understanding of age-related conditions and how to safely tailor exercises to participants’ capabilities or limitations.
- Familiarity with fitness program management or franchise operations.
