Senior Fire Systems Technician
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's Degree in applicable discipline preferred.
- NICET certification required.
- Related work experience in a commercial or construction environment working with electronic fire protection and sprinkler systems required.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical and equipment repair required.
- Current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA and Joint Commission codes and regulations required.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.
Qualifications
The position requires troubleshooting, maintaining, testing and repairing fire detection and suppression equipment. It also involves following appropriate preventative maintenance schedules to ensure proper maintenance and maximum life of the equipment. Reporting problems through the work order system and suggesting solutions to systems and equipment are also part of the responsibilities.
Participating in the planning and execution process for remodeling and construction, reviewing new and retrofit building management systems pertaining to remodeling and long range planning projects, coordinating or leading project plans when necessary, training colleagues on various skills and tasks, acting as a resource or mentor to colleagues, and providing general leadership to the team are additional duties.
