About the role

Responsible for overseeing fire protection and life safety systems in large commercial buildings. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining fire suppression systems, emergency lighting, and evacuation plans.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fire suppression systems, including sprinkler and dry pipe systems.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry standards.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of emergency lighting and evacuation signage.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate fire safety features into new construction projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and HVAC.
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
