About the role
Position Location: This role supports our Pittsburgh, PA branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
Responsibilities
- Attend pre-booking meetings to gain knowledge of the sales estimate and project scope.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and contract details to determine system requirements.
- Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team. Identify time-sensitive installation needs. Coordinate work with subcontractors.
- Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects. Track resources and project progress.
- Troubleshoot issues, including identifying and debugging software, and diagnosing electrical or pneumatic installation problems.
- Organize and maintain job documentation.
- Provide on-site assistance with or perform programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes. Participate in job site final walk-through, complete all job closeout documentation, and provide customer training. Act as technical resource to customers and field employees.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Fire Systems.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local AHJ requirements).
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in the installation and / or maintenance of Fire Systems (preferred).
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to read/understand design and construction documents.
- Direct experience working with Siemens fire alarm or fire/life safety systems (preferred).
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- NICET II Fire Alarm certification (preferred).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $66,259 - $113,587 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
