Senior Financial Crimes Risk Analyst (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial crimes and customer risk data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting to support business and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams on enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Support Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fraud, sanctions, and broader financial crime risk programs.
  • Conduct complex investigations, root cause analyses, and risk assessments involving high-risk customers, transactions, and business activities.
  • Create, update, and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation related to financial crime risk management.
  • Analyze emerging schemes, trends, and regulatory expectations to enhance risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on compliance requirements, policies, and operational processes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business partners and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Crimes, AML, Fraud, Operational Risk, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery/Corruption, Compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting complex data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the financial services industry.
  • Corporate Risk or Enterprise Risk Management experience.
  • Experience producing, analyzing, and presenting business intelligence reporting.
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing, editing, and executing queries.
  • Understanding of databases and information management technologies.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and supporting large-scale initiatives.
  • Able to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.

Schedule & Details

Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Long-term contract opportunity with potential for extension
