About the role

Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be the trusted finance partner for fulfillment centers supporting operational and functional leaders. Amazon operates the most complex retail networks in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. In this role, you will identify opportunities to decrease cost and/or improve customer and employee experience. You will leverage resources to deep dive, make recommendations, and influence leaders. You will play an active role in recruiting and coaching others while increasing your knowledge of controllership.

Responsibilities

• Build financial models and analyses with solid financial knowledge and business acumen, drawing conclusions and making recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements.
• Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to business leaders to support operational and growth decisions and action plans.
• Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams.
• Own the financial reporting for a business area and may supervise or teach others in financial reporting.
• Identify and solve complex data integrity issues, collaborating with stakeholders on resolution while insisting on the highest standards.
• Develop and execute data analysis processes that are scalable and auditable.
• Communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting style based on audience to articulate complex finance issues.
• Create effective business partnerships with Site Leaders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.
• Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring activities while seeking value and leveraging diverse perspectives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
• 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
• Experience as a lean sensei or working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• MBA or CPA.
• Knowledge of Tableau.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

About the team

This role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR, and Technology. The role plays a critical part as a financial advocate and business partner, designing, developing, and maintaining performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.

• USA, TN, Nashville: $60,200.00 - $105,400.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Irving: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Bellevue: $82,700.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
