Senior Financial Analyst, TTS Finance

The role requires an individual to deep-dive into business input drivers, analyze complex data pools, and use insights to influence business decisions. It is ideally suited for a candidate who has demonstrated strong financial modeling and statistical analysis alongside strong verbal and written skills. This entire system must move like a symphony, orchestrated with statistics and financial models behind it.

In this role, you will have a high level of visibility and partner with cross-functional teams. You will help others understand finance and act as a trusted business advisor. We are looking for a leader who exhibits excellent attention to detail and is comfortable with ambiguity. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to partner with business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment. Regular collaboration with leaders and various business units across Amazon will allow you to exhibit your verbal and written communication skills.

A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to improve and create new measures for business effectiveness, innovate creative solutions utilizing large-scale data mining tools, and identify high-priority projects to maximize results for key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform Loaded Drive Time and their associated financial impact analysis.
• Track the implementation of Loaded Drive Time strategy and guide updates required during each planning cycle.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning cycles, including narrative for strategy and action plan.
• Perform Trade-Off Analysis among Loaded Drive Time, TPA, and Supply Mix.
• Analyze cost-out initiatives and support business leaders for effective execution.
• Exhibit backbone, disagree and commit to foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, resolve issues, and drive decisions.
• Collaborate with business partners at all levels to understand their requirements on financial analysis and reporting, and execute deliverables.
• Perform regular weekly and monthly close, reporting, and analysis work.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role (e.g., engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance).
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
• Experience as a lean sensei or working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• MBA or CPA.
• Knowledge of Tableau.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Pay

• USA, TX, Irving: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Bellevue: $82,700.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
