About the Opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst – Strategic Finance & Special Projects serves as a key analytical partner to senior leadership, including the CEO and CFO. This role focuses on addressing complex, open-ended, and strategic financial questions that impact the entire organization. The analyst operates at the immediate intersection of corporate finance and advanced data analytics, providing quantitative insights and strategic narratives that guide executive decision-making and support major long-term initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead rigorous analysis on high-priority special and ad hoc projects focusing on operational, financial, and macro business performance trends
  • Perform sophisticated financial modeling to evaluate new growth opportunities, pricing elasticity, unit economics, and major operational investments
  • Manage complex strategic projects involving market sizing, competitive intelligence, scenario modeling, and long-term strategic assessments
  • Develop, stress-test, and validate comprehensive business cases for prospective cross-functional initiatives
  • Independently source, clean, and manipulate unstructured data from multiple internal data warehouses and external market platforms
  • Collaborate directly with the Business Intelligence and Data Engineering teams to enhance data pipelines and automated analytics infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a highly quantitative corporate discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience operating within corporate strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or highly analytical FP&A roles
  • Advanced SQL skills with a proven ability to write complex queries to extract data from large, multi-relational datasets
  • Deep financial modeling expertise, including advanced scenario and sensitivity analysis, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) mechanics, and ROI projections
  • Direct experience collaborating with Data Science, Business Intelligence, or data infrastructure teams
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in highly ambiguous, fast-paced situations with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written communication and narrative development skills, with the ability to turn raw metrics into structured executive memos
  • Proven experience presenting complex financial analyses directly to senior C-suite executives
  • Practical proficiency leveraging AI tools and automated prompting frameworks to enhance analytical throughput and code development
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to concurrently manage multiple cross-functional projects
  • Prior professional experience working within a B2C SaaS, digital subscription, or mobile application marketplace business model (preferred)
  • Foundational knowledge of subscription metrics, including MRR/ARR, Churn, LTV, CAC, and cohort retention dynamics (preferred)
