Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) plays a crucial role in capturing and reporting financial data. This individual focuses on financial planning, both short-term and long-term, to measure and forecast future business performance. The role involves discovering cost-saving opportunities and ensuring high levels of reporting integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create the Annual Financial Plan (Operating, Financial and Capital Budgets)
  • Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and decision-making support to the executive staff
  • Model the financial impacts of business decisions and present options to business leaders
  • Drive process and cost efficiencies for business operations
  • Affiliate in maintaining the integrity and completeness of the Company’s data warehouse
  • Affiliate with the month-end close process (mainly through variance analysis)
  • Perform monthly Actual vs. Budget variance analysis and discuss with department managers
  • Manage the Company’s balanced scorecard (daily, weekly and monthly operational metrics)
  • Review monthly financial statements for each assigned business unit, identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance
  • Proactively provide insightful, actionable, and accurate financial reporting analysis to key business owners
  • Build strong partnerships with key internal customers and cross-functional teams
  • Identify, evaluate, and compare multiple projects by their ROI% and track progress
  • Perform other various ad-hoc analysis as requested by management
  • Reports to the Controller

Skills and Experience Required

  • Master’s Degree in Finance or business; CPA preferred
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Access, etc.)
  • A background with distribution organizations is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is required
  • Experience with One Stream and CRM software a plus
  • Very strong data mining skills
  • Passionate, adaptable, customer-focused, and team-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and present with internal partners
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment
