What You’ll Do

• Lead FP&A processes – Oversee monthly reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing timely insights that support decision-making.
• Serve as a finance partner – Build strong relationships with business and practice leaders, helping them interpret financial performance and understand key drivers.
• Support budgeting & planning – Contribute to the annual budget, long-range planning, and scenario modeling with high-quality, well-organized analysis.
• Deliver executive-ready reporting – Prepare and enhance recurring management reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Advance reporting modernization – Translate manual reports into automated Power BI dashboards that improve accuracy, consistency, and visibility.
• Drive process automation – Identify opportunities to streamline recurring FP&A workflows, leveraging tools such as Power Query, Power Automate, and other automation capabilities to reduce manual effort and accelerate reporting cycles.
• Enhance data integrity – Collaborate with Finance Systems and Accounting to ensure reliable, well-aligned data across all reporting sources.
• Improve operational efficiency – Recommend and implement process enhancements that simplify data preparation, reduce cycle times, and improve the scalability of our reporting environment.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field; with 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or business intelligence, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment.
• Ownership and initiative – A proactive approach to managing deliverables, improving processes, and elevating reporting clarity.
• Business partnership capability – Ability to communicate financial insights clearly and influence non-finance stakeholders.
• Power BI & data skills – Strong proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query) and experience with automation tools such as Power Automate or Alteryx is a plus.
• Analytical depth – Advanced Excel skills with experience preparing forecasts, models, and business insights.
• Process improvement mindset – Experience identifying inefficiencies and automating recurring reporting or analytical workflows.
• Detail orientation – Commitment to data accuracy, quality, and reliability.
• Modernization orientation – Interest in enhancing how financial data is delivered and consumed through automation and streamlined reporting.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago.
