Role Purpose
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the division finance staff, collaborating and providing financial analysis to support plant and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support month-end close activities for the Life Sciences business, including accruals, account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting in compliance with US GAAP, statutory, tax, and internal control requirements.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly CLS product code and legal entity financials while supporting resolution of transactional and system issues across the division.
- Provide FP&A support for monthly and quarterly financials, forecasts, budgets, annual operating plans, and five-year strategic plans, including development of presentations and value-added analytics.
- Prepare and deliver monthly review packages and reporting that highlight key trends, variances, forecast-to-plan results, and recommended actions to address performance gaps.
- Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to explain financial results, improve understanding of performance metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Perform routine and ad hoc analysis, participate in division and corporate projects, and drive process improvements through SOP documentation and simplification opportunities.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent technical degree required
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, general ledger systems, and forecasting tools
- PeopleSoft, SAP, and Khalix knowledge preferred
- Experience with AI, PBI, or other data management tools
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to process large amounts of data into simple, easily understood talking points
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people in different time zones/cultures
- Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and the inter-workings of the financial statements both at the transactional and consolidated levels.
- Self-directing and able to act on initiative with objectivity
