Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Global Logistics

Amazon is seeking a Financial Analyst to help lead and oversee critical functions within this rapidly growing organization.
This Senior Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for business partnering, decision support, financial modeling, controllership and operations cost reduction. This person will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this high-growth organization. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various retail, transportation, and finance teams to identify best practices across the network, support growth initiatives and lead cost improvement efforts for operations. The Senior Financial Analyst will also lead variance analysis for weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews as well as execute ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
In this role, you can expect to be a key stakeholder in a number of different workstreams. Aside from the regular day to day of supporting execution and our operations team, you will have the ability to conduct scenario analyses and trade-offs for a number of annual and long term contractual agreements to expand and optimize the infrastructure of Amazon Global Logistics.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful analyses to lead business improvement and cost reductions
- Serve as a key stakeholder in short term execution and defect management with Operations
- Support MEC and financial reporting for the NA Ports Access Points network
- Identify and develop key business opportunities and drive efficiency while balancing customer promise
- Participate in the annual operational planning process and development of the three year strategic plan
- Drive variance analysis against budgets for the network, identify risks and opportunities
- Partner with BD, Product, Operations and Tech teams to drive costs down and optimize cross functional decisions that maximize Amazon's long term free cash flow
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of finance, tax or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Pay
- USA, VA, Arlington — $66,900.00 – $117,100.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue — $82,700.00 – $117,100.00 USD annually
