Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking experienced Accountants to join our dynamic energy industry team. Ideal candidates should be adaptable, quick learners, and passionate about making a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements.
• Participate in month and year end closing activities.
• Ensure financial statement compliance with GAAP, FERC, and SEC requirements.
• Absorb and complete/Review responses to regulatory data requests and reviews rate case adjustments.
• Partner with internal and external departments to provide business support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of Accountant experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 24 units of accounting from an accredited institution.
• 4 years of Accountant experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.

• Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment.
• Adaptable to new environments and job assignments.
• Quickly learns new processes.
• Compliance with GAAP, FERC, and SEC requirements.
• Regulatory reporting requirements.
• Oracle Financials accounting and query tools, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Financial statement analysis and decision making.
• Regulatory compliance reports.
• Customer service to other departments and management.
• Special projects and due diligence work.
