Senior Finance Associate, Engineering

About the role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company dedicated to transforming military capabilities through advanced technology. The Senior Finance Associate will play a crucial role in supporting major R&D initiatives and existing products and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end, from Definition, Solution, to Implementation
• Execute scrappy analyses on short timelines to get answers quickly, while also owning more scalable solutions
• Project manage across many stakeholders
• Work across functions and learn Anduril’s business top-to-bottom
• Own detailed financial models end-to-end
• Create novel frameworks for establishing a strong “value engineering” muscle
• Establish transparency into material cost for existing and future Anduril products
• Build financial models that help set material cost targets for different products
• Work with the Engineering and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement cost reduction roadmaps
• Help executives think through tradeoffs in product features vs. costs vs. profitability
• "Red-Team" engineering plans from a financial / business perspective

Required Qualifications

• You have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, engineering finance, or in a finance role at a high growth hardware company
• You have a strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts
• You have strong analytical aptitude. You intuitively think about problems in terms of numbers
• You are able to quickly execute analyses in Excel
• You have an ability to quantify complex often ambiguous problems
• You are willing to learn how to use corporate systems (e.g. Salesforce, Coupa, Anaplan) and analytic / dashboarding tools (e.g. Palantir Foundry)
• You are comfortable communicating broadly and having a lot of eyes on your work
• You enjoy working at a place where no one minds if you leave early one day to go to an appointment or run an errand, but you also don’t mind responding to Slacks in the evening while you’re watching Netflix
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

Pay

US Salary Range: $129,000 - $171,000 USD
