Senior Finance Analyst
About the role
Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, Enterprise Services, this role supports SCA's IT organization by providing financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and decision support to the CIO and IT Leadership team. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in managing core FP&A processes, developing business cases and financial models, supporting capital planning activities, and analyzing technology investments to drive sound financial decision-making. Success in this role requires exceptional analytical capabilities, advanced Excel and modeling skills, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful insights for business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, management, and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, forecasts, business cases, and scenario analyses to evaluate investments, initiatives, and business opportunities.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable solutions that improve business performance and financial outcomes.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations, reporting packages, and financial analyses for monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.
- Partner with Finance, IT, PMO, and business stakeholders to support capital planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and long-range planning activities.
- Provide financial support for technology initiatives, including cloud, infrastructure, and application investments, through cost-benefit analysis and performance tracking.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, models, dashboards, and processes to enhance efficiency, transparency, and decision support.
- Communicate complex financial concepts and findings clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and a proactive mindset to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and influence business decisions through data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years in accounting, finance operations or financial planning and analysis supporting IT organizations or in the Technology industry
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect financial performance to operational and strategic outcomes.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay
USD $75,000.00/Yr. - USD $90,000.00/Yr.
