Responsibilities
- Travel to customer job sites to diagnose, service, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery.
- Work independently from a fully equipped service truck and apply mechanical skills to ensure equipment’s up-to-date and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on Caterpillar® equipment and related machines.
- Use specialized tools and diagnostic software to complete quality repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency services to minimize downtime for customers.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair orders, and inspection documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers and service teams about equipment issues and repair plans.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures at every job site.
- Continually develop skills through training and hands-on experience.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while solving mechanical challenges on site.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as Cat Electronic Technician (ET) and mechanical test equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; 3-5 years' heavy equipment experience or equivalent education and experience.
