Senior Field Technician

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our South Daytona team. In this role, you'll continue to collaborate and develop with experienced project management professionals to safely perform a variety of tasks in Field Services department. Responsibilities Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materialsExecutes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervisionCommunicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managersReports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisorsPrepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and resultsPerforms calculations, data reduction, and documentation tasksMaintains and organizes field equipment and testing materialsAssists in resolving field-related issues and supports project executionTrains and mentors Technician I and Technician II staff in field procedures and documentationParticipates in project meetings with senior staff as requestedPerforms other field and project support duties as assigned Career Development As Your Experience Grows, ECS Will Support you in further enhancing your professional skills. Required Qualifications 2 years of related experienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredMaintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification PolicyGeneral industry OSHA 10 may be requiredIf driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is requiredExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-orientedAdvanced knowledge of construction materials testing principles and standardsStrong understanding of construction practices and jobsite operationsAdvanced proficiency with electronic devices and data systemsStrong math and data reduction skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering plans and specificationsAbility to work independently and lead small efforts in the fieldAbility to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs)Must have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policies Military Qualifications The following US Military ranks will qualify for this position IF they also meet the education, certification, and licenses requirements from the above section titled "Required Qualifications":E-4/E-5 ECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
