The Senior Technical Specialist at FANUC America is responsible for providing high-level support to both internal and external customers, managing and coordinating field rework programs, and interfacing with multiple engineering groups to resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with multiple FAC engineering groups to resolve technical Field Failure and Service issues.
- Manage and coordinate activities related to field rework programs.
- Provide advanced technical support to Field Service Engineers as an escalation resource.
- Interface with other engineering groups as required.
- Take on a leadership role supporting multiple service resources and customers.
- Manage and collect data during Field Failure investigations or reworks for reoccurring problems.
- Create meeting minutes, document verbal communication, and track customer communication, schedules, and open issues.
- Develop infield product rework projects and technical documentation.
- Coordinate large rework campaigns across multiple customers.
- Set up and participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
- Establish relationships with key customers to facilitate project execution and address concerns.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to support installation, maintenance, and service requirements.
- Document FANUC robot and peripheral equipment performance and report failure modes and results.
- Work safely and effectively in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Communicate complex information clearly to customers, team members, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant hands-on experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in robotics integration, field service, or related technical roles.
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of robotic systems.
- Strong proficiency in FANUC application software and robot programming.
- Proven ability to work safely and effectively in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Technical writing skills with the ability to create clear, accurate, and detailed documentation.
- Excellent technical communication skills.

- Demonstrated experience working with FANUC robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment.
- Strong programming skills to develop, modify, and optimize programs.
- Well-developed technical writing skills.
