Senior Facilities Maintenance Scheduler & Planner
About the role
This position prioritizes, coordinates, and optimizes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for MEP, HVAC, refrigeration, and other critical facility systems across a multi-building research campus. Responsibilities include turning service requests into fully scoped CMMS work orders, developing standardized job plans, and aligning weekly schedules with technician availability and facility windows.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing new service requests and converting them into detailed CMMS work orders with clear scope, labor hours, and safety requirements
- Developing and publishing weekly/daily schedules that align with technician availability and research-critical maintenance windows
- Crafting or updating standardized job plans, task lists, and PM templates to ensure consistent execution across all buildings
- Cooking materials, spare parts, and contractor services to ensure everything is staged before work begins
- Supervising work order progress, adjusting schedules for emergent priorities, and closing out completed jobs with accurate documentation
- Communicating status, constraints, and upcoming activities to Facilities Operations, Engineering, and lab stakeholders
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Electrical/HVAC/Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of maintenance planning, industrial maintenance, or utilities operations experience (10+ years accepted in lieu of degree)
- Proven expertise with commercial/industrial MEP systems and CMMS software
- Valid New York State drivers license
Qualifications
- Strong grasp of HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, chilled-water, and electrical distribution systems
- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in regulated or mission-critical environments
- Experience using CMMS platforms (e.g., TRIRIGA, Maximo, SAP PM) and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to communicate clearly, anticipate issues, and keep projects on track with minimal direction

Pay
Salary Range (hourly): $30.24 - $47.36
Schedule
