Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for electrical infrastructure, including low- and medium-voltage (LV/MV) distribution, lighting, generators, and UPS systems.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve electrical engineering standards and site-wide reliability programs.
- Design, maintain, and optimize mission-critical systems (UPS, generators, distribution networks) with a strong focus on uptime, redundancy, and operational continuity.
- Support 24/7 sustaining operations, including on-call coverage for critical system issues.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance system performance and minimize downtime.
- Drive energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability improvements across electrical systems.
- Lead or support electrical scopes of work for capital projects of varying complexity, including advanced manufacturing environments, cleanrooms, and high-tech facilities.
- Review and approve contractor deliverables, submittals, RFIs, and ensure quality execution in the field.
- Prepare and review electrical design documentation, including: single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, lighting layouts, short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
- Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Partner with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to deliver integrated, code-compliant facility designs.
- Collaborate with field electricians and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required); advanced degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities or infrastructure electrical engineering.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and supporting critical operations.
