Senior Exterior Engineer
Job Purpose
The Sr. Exterior Engineer leads and inspires a team of automotive engineers to produce high-quality exterior components that meet system requirements. This includes working with internal design engineering, supplier quality, program management, and purchasing teams, as well as external suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop exterior components
- Initiate cross-functional development to produce high quality design that meets system requirements
- Mentor less experienced team members
- Proactively communicate issues to all other stakeholders
Required Experience
- 4-year higher education qualifications (engineering or equivalent)
- 5+ years of hands-on automotive closures experience
- Advanced knowledge of the automotive landscape, particularly EVs
- Ability to work within a small, task-focused, creative, agile team
- Experience with Catia 3DX
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally bend or stoop
- Lift up to 10 pounds
- Prolonged periods of computer use
