About The Role

Join CBRE as a Senior Building Engineer at a large campus in Redmond, WA. Your expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems ensures efficient facility operations. Key responsibilities include assigning work orders, maintaining supplies, performing repairs, aligning with codes, leading contractors, responding to inquiries, and developing energy management programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Assign work orders and estimate repair times and materials.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and tools.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and directives.
  • Develop and implement an energy management program.
  • Ensure systems operate efficiently.
  • Lead and inspect work performed by outside contractors.
  • Respond to client inquiries and complaints.
  • Advise on preventive maintenance programs.
  • Perform repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
  • Review and sign off on system inspections.
  • Seek and develop new methods for improving building operations.
  • Mentor and lead team members.
  • Influence senior partners and guide teams towards innovative solutions.

What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Universal CFC certification required.
  • Additional certifications in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads (50 lbs. or more).
  • Microsoft Office knowledge such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and CMMS experience.
