About the role

The Senior Executive Assistant to the President of DePuy Synthes provides high-level administrative support to the DePuy Synthes Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and represents the Office of the CEO with professionalism. This role requires a full understanding of the functions, practices, procedures, and policies of an organization or major unit. Regular contact with the Johnson & Johnson Executive Committee Offices, BOD offices and senior management within and outside J&J and DePuy Synthes to provide or gather information often of a sensitive nature. Must possess the ability to anticipate the executive's needs and collect/prepare information for the executive. This role is required to think analytically, exercise sound judgment and discretion, independently assess and resolve complex situations, and maintain flexibility to respond to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the CEO, fostering positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Secretary’s office and Board of Directors assistants on scheduling and coordination.
  • Handle complex and dynamic calendars with strong prioritization skills.
  • Cook up intricate domestic and international travel and process expense reports promptly.
  • Prepare and manage eMarketplace purchase orders and check requisitions.
  • Use technology platforms (Zoom, Teams) to optimize virtual and in-person interactions.
  • Support activities related to interview scheduling, hiring, and onboarding as needed.
  • Maintain flexibility and anticipate changes to daily schedules with advanced organizational skills.
  • Stay informed on company policies and procedures.
  • Handle confidential and critical information with discretion and integrity.
  • Guide workflow for other administrative support when required.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma required; an associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of executive-level administrative support experience.
  • Prior experience supporting the head of a major corporate function preferred.
  • Experience supporting a Human Resources function is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of Ariba/e-Marketplace, Concur, travel systems, and Workday.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong customer focus.
  • Experience in a complex, global, fast-paced environment preferred.
