Craft detailed and accurate estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts
Cultivate and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
Participate in pre-bid conferences and conduct site visits
Evaluate subcontractor scopes of work and analyze quotes for optimal value
Generate project bid status reports and ensure adherence to specifications and contract requirements
Present cost estimates for customer proposals, factoring in general and special conditions
Perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summaries, and input data into estimating software
Maintain an up-to-date database of cost codes for historical reference
Leverage company and industry data for accurate pricing estimates

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
7-10 years of relevant estimating experience
Advanced project estimating skills, including value engineering calculations
Proficiency in engineering terminology to effectively communicate with various stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Keen attention to detail
Able to interpret and organize construction plans and specifications
Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database software
