Responsibilities
- Collaborate & negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle
- Maintain accurate documentation & records
- Develop and submit competitive budgets and bids
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Analyze methods & costs data
- Perform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews
- Participate in industry, client & estimating events
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in estimating processes
- Prepare economic feasibility studies
- Provide mentoring & training support for junior staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in construction management, or a related field preferred
- Specialized training or education focused on estimating is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience as an Estimator with a commercial general contracting firm
