Role & Responsibilities
- Provide project cost estimating during all phases of the projects.
- Prepare cost estimates from the initiating phase to the project close-out for all assigned projects and for all disciplines.
- Negotiate design modifications (with OE) and construction change orders with contractors.
- Work with Project Manager and Scheduler to develop and refine Integrated Master Schedules.
- Support Project Managers, as required, to plan projects, resolve issues, and provide cost information.
- Establish estimating cost standards formats to ensure overall program consistency and cost quality.
- Support as directed new functions and requirements due to Risk Analysis Workshops such as contingency management and cost risk management.
- Document all Basis of Estimates and Estimate Revisions.
- Utilize Document Control to archive current and historical estimates and supporting data utilized in estimate development.
- Support cost database development, management, and maintenance.
- Familiar with industry Cost Engineering Standards in addition to the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering and best practice 46R-11.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in estimating the design and construction of electric transmission (38kV and above) & distribution (15kV / 34.5kV) projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- Experience with Accubid preferred.
- T&D project experience required.
- Professional Engineer License, desired.
- Certified Estimating Professional, desired.
