Senior Estimator

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work
• Cook up and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to clarify project requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing
• Conduct thorough risk analysis and identify areas for cost savings
• Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals to clients
• Mentor and train junior estimators as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical estimating within commercial construction
• Proficient in Estimating Software (e.g., Accubid, PlanSwift, Syspro) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of NEC codes and industry standards
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost predictions
• A proven track record of managing multiple estimates simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately in a remote or hybrid setting
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator - CPE) are a plus
