Senior Environmental Engineer
Responsibilities
- Supports ongoing compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintains current knowledge of existing and proposed regulations and provides technical support to the refinery on environmental compliance topics.
- Ensures timely and compliant completion of federal, state, or applicable government reporting obligations (e.g., SARA 313 reports; Emission Inventories; NSPS Reports; MACT Reports; Annual Waste Summary Reports, AQMD Regulation Reports).
- Maintains operational records necessary to demonstrate compliance with assigned environmental regulations/programs.
- Aids in permitting tasks as needed, with preferred local AQMD experience.
- Communicates with Engineering and Operations personnel to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Participates in on-call duty rotation with the department, with preferred knowledge of refinery units.
- Satisfies assigned Spill/Upset/Emission Event/Reporting requirements in accordance with all applicable regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering or related Science degree is required.
- Five years of Environmental Engineering or related refinery engineering experience is required.
Qualifications
- Eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) as it is required for working at the Valero Wilmington Refinery.
Benefits
The position is salaried exempt status, meaning you are not eligible for overtime pay. The salary range for this position is $126,880 to $174,460 and represents Valero's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation at the time of this posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications and experience.
