Senior Engineering Technician - Extrusions

About the role

The Extrusion Technician provides advanced technical support to cross-functional engineering and production teams to characterize, develop, and optimize extrusion technology platforms and processes. In this role, you set up, operate, troubleshoot, and clean extrusion manufacturing equipment according to specialized standards, support the commercialization of complex projects, and help transition new processes into production. You work closely with engineers to run extrusion processes, perform in-process testing and quality checks, and ensure a clean, organized work area while maintaining all required documentation. This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN. The role is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for engineering projects and act as a process expert, requiring minimal engineering direction to complete activities.
• Set up, run, and adjust extrusion equipment according to specialized standards on multiple machines and processes, applying advanced knowledge of equipment setup.
• Operate extruders and manage material handling, including weighing and staging raw materials, packaging, and sampling.
• Perform in-process testing and quality checks, examining product for defects
