Senior Engineering Supervisor-Hotel

About the Role

The Senior Engineering Supervisor provides hands‑on leadership for the daily operations of the Engineering department, supporting the maintenance, safety, appearance, and functionality of our luxury Curio Collection by Hilton property. This role helps lead and develop the Engineering team, prioritize work orders, coordinate preventive maintenance, conduct property and equipment inspections, and ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to established hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Engineering team, providing coaching, training, and scheduling.
• Prioritize and assign work orders, monitor productivity, and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance programs for all building systems.
• Conduct property and equipment inspections to verify compliance with safety procedures and applicable codes.
• Troubleshoot and support HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, kitchen equipment, life‑safety, and general building systems.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues before they impact operations, and coordinate repairs with outside vendors as needed.
• Maintain parts and equipment inventories.
• Serve as the key operational leader when Engineering management is unavailable.
• Partner closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, Security, Banquets, and hotel leadership to address maintenance needs quickly while minimizing guest disruption.

Requirements

• Strong hotel or commercial building engineering experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting abilities for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life‑safety systems.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and building operations.
• Experience with kitchen equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in inventory management and vendor coordination.
• Commitment to safety compliance and applicable codes.
• Experience in luxury or full‑service hotel engineering (highly preferred).
• Familiarity with Hilton or Curio Collection properties (a plus).
• Strong team‑leadership and staff‑training skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties.
