Senior Engineering Manager - MANTA Software Engineering (Onsite)

Job Description

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is looking for a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering, with a passion for engineering and the desire to lead an innovative, dedicated team responsible for industry-leading Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) products within the Multi-domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) portfolio. The team is responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and testing systems for real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions for military applications.

What You Will Do

• Lead and mentor staff whose responsibilities span all phases of the software engineering life cycle.
• Responsible for requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, verification, and formal configuration management.
• Provide direction for tasks such as software capability development, integration of software onto target hardware, issue troubleshooting and resolution, supporting field demonstration and integration efforts, and mentoring.
• Knowledgeable of the software development lifecycle and a proponent of the Agile method of software development.
• Resource allocation and overall administrative management of the team.
• Employee engagement, coaching and mentoring, and employee development.

Qualifications You Must Have

• A typical requirement is a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
• Must have high motivation to solve problems and continuously improve existing products.

Qualifications We Prefer
