Responsibilities
- Lead and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure expedite closure of complex product and process quality issues from initiation to closure.
- Evaluation of non-conforming material and support disposition of the material.
- Interpretation of SEM/TEM images and EDX data to solve electrical and defect problems.
- Training and mentoring other Quality or Process Engineers on core tools e.g., SPC Tools, FMEA, MSA.
- Perform audits of key suppliers, typically within the USA, however, may require international travel.
- Actively participate in audits from customers and certification authorities; review customer specific requirements and respond to part specific information as required by the customers.
- Analyze customer returns, responds with 8D reports, and continuous improvement summaries.
- Work with counterparts across the internal fabs to share results, best practices, and provide comparable data.
- Collaborate with Product, Process, Design, Failure Analysis, and Reliability engineering organizations to drive quality improvements & Quality Management System (QMS) implementation.
- Facilitate the use of structured problem-solving tools in root-cause investigation and corrective action identification.
Requirements
- MS in Engineering with 3+ years of experience or BS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience in semiconductor industry functional areas like Quality, Process, Product, and/or Yield engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes including CMOS, Bipolar, and MEMS device technologies with experience in process and device-related defect characterization and failure mechanisms.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and root-cause analysis that will help support our organization's zero-defect initiative.
- Excellent knowledge of problem-solving tools like 8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone analysis, etc.
- Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment.
- Great collaborator that leads through influence.
- Excellent project planning, scheduling, documentation, training, coordination, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) in high volume semiconductor manufacturing environment and understanding of risk management using FMEA and Control Plan tools.
- Quality certifications like ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE, etc.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards like IATF 16949:2016/ISO 9001.

Pay
The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $95,600 to $131,450. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
Schedule
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
