About the role

The position of Desktop Support Analyst performs troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of end user computing equipment and peripheral equipment at deputed locations. Essential duties for the position include but are not limited to the following.

Responsibilities

  • Handle Incidents, service requests, and break fix support following the priority and service levels.
  • Continued monitoring of Service Management tool for new incidents/service requests.
  • Escalation of incidents to appropriate groups if the issue should be taken care by another team.
  • Incident troubleshooting and repairing workstations and peripherals to proper operations.
  • Document the details of incident resolution.
  • Repair and replace failed components.
  • Replace non-operating equipment with equipment from operating stock.
  • Update client asset management system to indicate any changes in the equipment status.
  • Monthly review of inventory level.
  • Desktop install, move, add, changes, and deletion IMACD.
  • Installation, removal, and support for Desktop OS or any client-approved software.
  • Management of desktop computing hardware and software inventory record.
  • Maintain spare pools at staffed locations.
  • On-site hands and feet support for IT infrastructure, network storage, and compute.
  • Escalate product-related issues and hardware/software bugs to client or 3rd party provider as appropriate.
  • Trigger disposal process of assets.
  • Actual disposal will be carried out by the client. Physical destruction of drives only if they cannot be wiped electronically.
  • Install, moves, adds, and changes IMACD, confirm requirements, scope, acquire approval, assign to appropriate team, confirm schedule, and verify completion.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Requires 7 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of operating system troubleshooting, installing, upgrading, and migrating to Windows latest versions, deploying Windows operating system in large enterprises, configuring hardware and applications, configuring network connectivity, monitoring and maintaining systems that run Windows operating system.
  • Certifications: Preferrable MCSA Windows, MCSE Desktop Infrastructure.

Pay

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance, and internal equity.
