The Senior Engineer - Build Systems is responsible for improving and maintaining build delivery systems for both developers and customers. This role accelerates workflows, supports developer education, and reduces friction within the team’s processes. It plays a crucial role in enabling the team to efficiently produce high-quality game builds, contributing to the successful launch of new game franchises.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated build software using Unreal Engine 5, primarily in C#
• Monitor and report on build system health and status
• Create and maintain workflows for internal customers across multiple disciplines
• Manage on-premises and cloud-based build resources
• Troubleshoot build errors and collaborate with various teams to resolve issues
• Coordinate with release management to publish game builds to customers
• Collaborate with the test team to run automated tests and publish results

Requirements

• Proficiency in writing, debugging, and maintaining C# code
• Proficiency in writing, debugging, and maintaining C++ code
• Ability to navigate large codebases with minimal documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Perforce
• Willingness to support other engineering initiatives as needed
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within a team-focused culture

Pay

Estimated base pay range for a Seattle-based candidate is $160,000—$240,000 USD. Base pay varies according to market data, location, and individual qualifications.
