Senior Emergency Trauma Tech - ED - Nights - FT - Orange

About the role

The Sr. Trauma Tech coordinates and performs a broad range of technical duties supporting patient care in ED services to facilitate patient flow. Duties include assisting with patient triage, obtaining vital signs and specimens, assisting physicians with cast, splint, and wound care applications and removals, providing support during patient exams, assisting with hygiene, elimination, and comfort measures, and preparing patients for transport.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient triage
• Obtains vital signs and specimens
• Assists physicians with cast, splint, and wound care applications and removals
• Provides support during patient exams
• Aids patients with hygiene, elimination, and comfort measures
• Prepares patients for transport
• Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies, performing quality control and basic troubleshooting of equipment

Requirements

• Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of related experience as an Emergency/Trauma Technician
• EMT and/or Paramedic license preferred

Qualifications

• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting
• Bilingual skill, either Spanish or Vietnamese, to communicate effectively with patients and families
