About the role
Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician/EMT to join their Emergency Services team. The department serves over 68,000 patients annually and is a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center.
What You'll Do
As an Emergency Department Technician/EMT, you will play a direct role in saving lives by providing patient care in a safe environment. Your responsibilities include:
- Serving patients in an emergency or pre-hospital setting
- Part of a multidisciplinary team including Providers, RNs, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and Social Workers
- Working in a high-energy, patient-centered environment with 24-hour access to laboratory, X-ray, and surgical services
- Contributing to a Stroke Center with 24/7 neuro-interventional capabilities and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 interventional cardiac catheterization lab capabilities

What's Available
Part-time, 60 hours biweekly (0.75 FTE). Will orientate/train as close to full-time as possible including on day shift12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with every third weekend/holiday rotation. Starting pay of $19.05 per hour and up, based on your years of experience, with generous shift/weekend/holiday differentials.
What You'll Need
- A High School Diploma or equivalency
- National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
- A current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
- Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is strongly preferred
