Senior Electronics Quality Engineer

Remote — US-based candidates preferred. Contract engagement. AceSuited Recruit is sharing a contract opportunity for experienced electronics quality professionals to contribute their expertise to an AI development project focused on advanced electronics assembly and inspection. You’ll use your industry knowledge to review technical materials, evaluate inspection findings and provide detailed input that helps train next-generation AI systems. No previous AI experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Review PCB CAM and Gerber files for manufacturability, quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Evaluate PCB assembly and wire harness builds against IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 inspection criteria.
• Analyse and document SMT and automated optical inspection (AOI) defects, including root causes of AOI false calls.
• Apply AS6081 expertise to identify counterfeit electronic components and recommend risk mitigation measures.
• Interpret semiconductor package inspections using C-SAM and X-ray imaging, including die inspection and MIL-STD-883 compliance checks.
• Produce clear technical reports and explain findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project leads to improve workflows and the quality of AI training datasets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in electronics quality, CAM engineering or failure analysis within PCB assembly, wire harness or semiconductor packaging.
• Extensive knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 inspection criteria. IPC CIS/CIT certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing Gerber data and using PCB CAM software.
• Strong understanding of SMT processes, AOI defect analysis and false-call remediation.
• Experience screening counterfeit components in accordance with AS6081.
• Hands-on experience with C-SAM and X-ray inspection tools, plus familiarity with MIL-STD-883 procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

$70–$120 USD per hour
