About the role
The role involves leading Electrical design for water/wastewater projects, providing technical guidance, serving as a technical expert, and supporting business development.
Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical design for water/wastewater projects
- Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff
- Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations
- Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services
- Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers
- Additional Project Opportunities: Studies – Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis
- Congestion and resolution of electrical construction issues
- Coordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs
- Review of supplier submittals
- Act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams for Instrumentation and Control design
- Startup and testing of major electrical equipment
Requirements
- Professional Engineer’s license in CA or another US jurisdiction
- 11 years in electrical design, planning and construction services
- Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred
- Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators
- Experience in a client-facing/business development role
- Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 11 years related work experience
Skills
Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineer’s license in CA or another US jurisdiction, consulting and Water/Wastewater experience, experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, and power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software.

$148,852.00 - $248,578.00
Schedule
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
