About the role

The role involves leading Electrical design for water/wastewater projects, providing technical guidance, serving as a technical expert, and supporting business development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical design for water/wastewater projects
  • Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff
  • Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations
  • Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services
  • Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers
  • Additional Project Opportunities: Studies – Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis
  • Congestion and resolution of electrical construction issues
  • Coordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs
  • Review of supplier submittals
  • Act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams for Instrumentation and Control design
  • Startup and testing of major electrical equipment

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer’s license in CA or another US jurisdiction
  • 11 years in electrical design, planning and construction services
  • Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred
  • Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators
  • Experience in a client-facing/business development role
  • Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience

Skills

Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineer’s license in CA or another US jurisdiction, consulting and Water/Wastewater experience, experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, and power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software.

Pay

$148,852.00 - $248,578.00

Schedule

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
