Senior Electrical Utility Designer
About the role
Join ENTRUST Solutions Group to design overhead and underground electric utility projects that strengthen the grid. Work on storm hardening, new construction, solar, reconductoring, and other distribution upgrades in a mostly remote role with occasional fieldwork. Hiring across PPL Electric Utilities' service area, including Scranton, Allentown, Harrisburg, Lancaster, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for overhead and underground utility projects, including creating detailed construction drawings and accurate bills of materials.
- Provide supporting documentation such as pole force loading calculations, voltage drop calculations, and permitting requirements as needed.
- Perform field visits to inspect infrastructure and ensure the accuracy of designs.
- Support pre-construction activities, answering questions related to the job site and design.
Requirements
- A 2-year associate degree in a Technical Field, or
- 2 to 4 years industry (utility) design or demonstrated job knowledge through ENTRUST employment.
- Proficiency in software (ArcFM, ArcMap, Infor or Pole Foreman, AutoCAD).
- Hybrid/fielding expectations 25% of the time for local travel.

- Associates Degree In a technical related field.
