Senior Electrical Engineer
About the role
AECOM is seeking a motivated, technically-experienced team leader to serve as Senior Electrical Engineer based in Minneapolis, MN.
Responsibilities
- Designs power distribution systems, microgrids, lighting systems, etc.
- Performs Construction Administration services, including review of shop drawings, RFI’s and review of contractor proposed change orders
- Evaluates feasibility of alternative design approaches in conjunction with senior team members
- Organizes/plans projects to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met and within budget
- Assists in preparing proposals and presenting to Clients
- Acts as a Deputy Project Manager assisting with workload planning
- Assists with mentoring of junior staff within the Electrical Department
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field + 6 years of related experience and/or education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineering License
- Proficient in SKM and electrical analysis software
- 8+ years of electrical systems design experience
- Proficiency using AutoCAD and Revit
- Ability to interact with others on a multi-discipline team
- Good time management skills, a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- People management experience a plus
Qualifications
- NCEES Record
- Excellent Communications Skills with the ability to present designs to clients
- Additional Industry Certifications such as LEED AP or CEM
Benefits
The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $120000 to $150000 per year.
Schedule
This position will involve working with a multidisciplinary team who work together to conceive, permit, design and provide construction administration support for small and large projects.
