Senior Electrical Technical Specialist

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Electrical Technical Specialist who can perform engineering assignments, design tasks, and prepare design and quantity calculations. You'll also coordinate with other disciplines and prepare specifications and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer
• Design tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques and procedures
• Production of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other design software
• Preparation of design and quantity calculations
• Preparation of specifications and contract documents
• Other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer
• Coordination with other disciplines as necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported
• Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported
• Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
• Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study
